Tour of Workshop
The CATI’s workshop is a state-of-the-art facility with CNC lathes, VMCs, auto-inspection machines, ovens, etc. Craft And Technik Industries started in February 1996, in Vadgaon (BK), with a shop floor space of 1000 sq. ft. In May 1996, production operations commenced with roughing operations on a single R5 Lathe. It is spread over an area of over 1000 sq. mt., divided into 4 main shops.
The pulley shop caters to the manufacturing of various types of pulleys, accommodating a maximum size diameter of 400mm. Also, there is room to accommodate machining of a greater diameter, if necessary, in the future. Along with CNC lathes, the pulley shop also holds machines for all other supporting operations like drilling, sleeve pressing, balancing, broaching, etc.

The camshaft and VMC shop are used for the manufacturing of camshaft and pump covers. CATI also provides supporting operations for camshafts like bend removal, drilling, etc. For VMC section, supporting operations provided are drilling, bush pressing, serial number punching and auto inspection fixture, etc.

Craft And Technik Industries has recently developed a material testing laboratory to perform simple tests on the materials, coolants, oils, etc. in-house. This lab is equipped with all the equipment’s to test for metal micro-structure, porosity, chloride/sulphate contents, etc.
